Isolation shouldn't be a part of aging. Every senior deserves the dignity, connection, and support needed to live fully. We empower Arizona's seniors by connecting them with caring volunteers who bring support, companionship, and a sense of community back into everyday life. A simple conversation, a bit of tech help, a shared moment: small interactions that make a big difference in a senior's life. We make those moments happen. Be part of the change.
We bring this mission to life through youth-led service, community outreach, and meaningful connection. From in-person support and senior storytelling to creative projects completed from home, volunteers can make an impact in ways that fit their skills, availability, and comfort level.
THE ISSUE
Arizona’s citizens are facing an unprecedent crisis, one shaped not only by aging, but by the systems that have failed to protect them: recent reductions to Medicaid funding, the dismantling of the ACL, which administers critical programs like caregiver support, and over $300 million USD in funding for the Senior Community Service Employment program being cut.
But policy is only part of the problem. Seniors across Arizona report that loneliness is their biggest fear. Transportation barriers make simple errands impossible. Many struggle with the growing digital divide.
This is the reality our seniors are living.

HEALTHCARE BARRIERS
Many seniors face obstacles to proper medical care: rising costs that strain fixed incomes, long wait times, confusing insurance systems, and difficulty managing medications or appointments. Generations Together provides seniors with guidance, funding assistance, reminders, and other clear health information, helping them access essential care earlier and more consistently.
SOCIAL ISOLATION
Many seniors lack consistent social connection, which can harm their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Generations Together builds reliable relationships through youth-led visits, calls, and community activities, creating meaningful companionship and restoring a sense of belonging.
MOBILITY CHALLENGES
Limited mobility and the inability to drive make it difficult for many seniors to reach groceries, pharmacies, medical visits, and community spaces. These challenges can quickly lead to dependence and isolation. GT supports seniors through safe-walking assistance, essential delivery help, and exploring transportation solutions that strengthen long-term independence.
DIGITAL DIVIDE
As essential services move online, seniors without digital skills are cut off from information, communication, and support. By providing patient, one-on-one tech help, we empower seniors to stay informed, safely access online services, and maintain communication with family and community.
