SUPPORTING SENIORS
ONE GENERATION AT A TIME.
Supporting seniors isn’t just service. It’s honoring the people who shaped our lives.
Isolation should never be an expected part of aging.
Generations Together is a youth-led nonprofit that mobilizes young volunteers to support older adults through partnerships with senior-serving organizations across our communities.
We work with senior centers, care communities, nonprofits, and other organizations already serving older adults to bring them something powerful: more hands, more ideas, more connection, and a growing generation of young people ready to serve.
Small moments can make a meaningful difference.
We bring this mission to life through youth-led service, community outreach, and meaningful connection. Volunteers can make an impact in ways that fit their skills, availability, and comfort level.
Generations Together is a youth-led nonprofit bringing students and older adults together through meaningful service, conversation, and shared experiences that build genuine intergenerational connection.
Growing older should not mean growing disconnected.
Social isolation can leave someone without consistent companionship or community. Rapid changes in technology can make communication and essential online tools harder to navigate. And organizations serving older adults often face limited time, staffing, and volunteer capacity.
These challenges are larger than any one volunteer can solve. But meaningful change often begins with someone willing to show up.
Generations Together helps make that possible by building a network of young people ready to serve through organizations already doing the work.
Young people want meaningful ways to give back. Organizations serving older adults often need more volunteers, more programming, and more community involvement.
Generations Together connects the two.
We recruit and mobilize youth volunteers, create accessible service opportunities, and work alongside trusted community organizations to support the needs they already see every day.
Rather than replacing the organizations that know their communities best, we strengthen their work by bringing a new generation into it.
More than 150 individuals are already part of the Generations Together community, from individual volunteers to students involved through clubs at schools across Arizona. And we’re still growing. We’re always looking for new people, groups, and school communities to get involved.
GENERATIONS TOGETHER
RESOURCES
Navigating appointments, benefits, community programs, and other resources can be overwhelming. Generations Together helps older adults locate trusted resources, organize information, and connect with appropriate community organizations and professional services.
ISOLATION
Generations Together creates consistent opportunities for connection through youth-led visits, conversations, community activities, and intergenerational projects. These relationships help older adults stay connected to the people and communities around them.
MOBILITY ISSUES
Transportation and mobility barriers can make groceries, appointments, community activities, and other everyday needs harder to reach. Generations Together helps connect older adults with local resources and provides approved forms of practical assistance designed to make everyday life more accessible.
DIGITAL DIVIDE
As essential services move online, seniors without digital skills are cut off from information, communication, and support. Through patient, one-on-one technology support, volunteers help older adults build confidence using phones, computers, communication tools, and online resources so technology becomes a source of connection rather than another barrier.
I signed up because I wanted to do something meaningful with my time, but I ended up getting so much more out of it than I expected. Talking with older adults, hearing their stories, and seeing how much a simple conversation can matter made every visit feel genuinely worthwhile. I always leave feeling like I learned something too.

Our volunteers contribute through the organizations already supporting older adults, helping strengthen existing programs rather than trying to replace them.
